I’m a strategist, marketer, and business consultant based in Cleveland, OH. My primary foci are the technology and healthcare industries but I am available outside of these verticals on a case-by-case basis. I am excited by complex challenges and am quick to dissect assumptions that I don't understand.
The entirety of my professional life has involved startups or agencies. I have worked with groups as large as Fortune 1000 corporation and as small as solopreneurs. The industries I've worked in were just as diverse; from the contemporary art market to metal pipe manufacturing or medical device to end-of-life care.
For the last decade, I've spent almost every waking moment at the intersection of business operations and strategy for healthcare and technology startup companies. I currently work as the Director of Revenue Operations for RxWare, a venture-backed PharmaTech SaaS company focused on the speciality pharmaceutical industry. My primary responsibility is overseeing the revenue team, our marketing and sales operations, and financial modeling. I also consult with the executive leadership team on product and operations strategy focused on product-led growth and growth hacking.
Prior to that, I served as the Chief Operating Officer of Lazurite, a venture-backed medical device company, I co-founded in 2015. In this role, I managed all non-engineering activities, overseeing the company’s cash management/finances, legal, administrative, and talent management, as well as serving as the executive sponsor and primary relationship architect for product development, regulatory/compliance and government affairs activities. I also served as the corporate secretary and managed our Board, our cap table, and investor relations as well as being primarily responsible for the development and implementation of all commercialization strategies with a special focus on tracking market conditions, physician input, and key opinion leader (KOL) identification.
As trite as it seems, the more pertinent question is often "what don't I do?" As an individual, I am constantly looking for new chances to learn and to apply those learnings in new areas. When I started my medical device company, I knew little of the industry, but by within months, industry was coming to me. In my mind, unfamiliarity is not intimidating, but instead an opportunity to do something exciting and new.
